Real Quick…am I late or is there a sudden influx of YouTube videos about the hatred of black women?
Ever been on one of those YouTube adventures? You know, the ones where you start out looking for one thing and click a link or two and wonder
HOW DID I GET HERE??
Well, somewhere between Nat Turner and The Canterbury Tales, I came upon a collection of videos by this guy who sits behind a microphone and spews filth and garbage, generalizing all african american women in one pot of greed, hatred, hyper-sexual, baby making, materialistic, uneducated, violent, loud, welfare queens. It is embarrassing and hurtful to say the least, and even moreseo because this gentleman is of African-American descent himself.
What a slap in the face.
What is the beef with black women? Why does everyone hates us so much and WHO is the genius responsible? Are we (black women) the cause of our own demise? Are WE the very reason every ethnicity avoids us like the plague?
Its a discouraging thing to live in a culture where you are at the bottom of the social food chain. Think about it, who desires black women for anything more than a good time. The Persians, Asians, Koreans, Caucasian, Native American and exotic Brazilians get way more play that we do. Back when curvaceous features were natural and hard to come by, men wanted a desirable african american woman on their arm. Now we have become so brainwashed, we’ve lost our allure. I know older non-black gentlemen who seek black women for carnal pleasure but never anything serious. Nothing past a first date. Why is that?
Now trust me, I’m not negating the fact that we have some bad apples in our bunch, but doesn’t everyone. Does not every ethnicity have and ‘us’ and ‘them’ complex with the not-so-favorable members of their culture; the ones who live up to the stereotypes that plague us all? I believe so. However, I don’t believe that an entire demographic should be counted out due to a few bad apples.
Its depressing to go online and see what our own men think of us. The most frustrating part is that the good have to suffer for the bad.
I was just wondering if anyone else feels like they’re fighting a losing battle sometimes when it comes to dating. It’s such a pain when people have formed generalizations about who you are, what you desire in life and where you come from based on something as basic as race. Race and ethnicity are factors we have absolutely no control over whatsoever.
If decisions were made based on who had the worst track record in society, we’d all be out the door and there’d be chaos and confusion and debauchery; think Sodom and Gomorrah 2013…..wait.
Even Jada Pinkett – Smith made the statement about heterosexual women having no choice when it comes to men and seeking homosexual relationships as an alternative (no thanks). I guess she meant all women. Well, I can only relate to the plight of african american women. Trust me, there isn’t a plethora of hate videos for any other race. Just Saying..
Well, we are only 15 generations out of slavery; we’ve got a hell of a way to go.
In the meantime,
